In this pottery class, we will create a textured log cabin Chapel modeled after the St. Marks Chapel at Hart Square with traditional features using slab construction and pressed-in doors, windows, and other characteristic effects. Completed works will be dried, fired, and later may be picked at the Hart Square Offices. Beginners welcome!
You must be 12 or older to take this class. Registrants should bring a workshirt, sponge, needle tool or needle & cork
About John Post
John has contributed his pottery, teaching, and demonstration skills at Hart Square since since starting nearby Hog Hill Studio in 1993 , along with his wife and artist Scottie Fox. He has taught at Western Piedmont Community College, Lenoir Rhyne Unitversity, and CVCC in Hickory.
