There are so many reasons to can food!  Whether you want to learn a pioneer skill, preserve your home garden harvest or be ready in the case of food shortages, canning is a skill that benefits everyone.

Please join us in discovering how to preserve food to prevent bacteria growth and promote longevity.  Each student will have the opportunity to prep, cook, and take home a jar of produce.  We will be providing locally grown produce for each student to use for practice.

You will learn the basics of cleaning and prepping produce for canning, sealing jars, using canning supplies, and storing preserved food.

If you are interested in growing plants for canning, we will also cover what plants can be used for a canning garden. There is something for everyone!

Refund Policy
Tickets sold may be refunded prior to 10 business days from the ticketed event.

Exchanges of equal value may be made prior to 10 business days from the ticketed event. However, ticket availability for alternate dates is not guaranteed and is subject to a first-­come, first-­served basis.

Refunds cannot be approved after the 10 business day period.
