Learn to create beautiful needle-felted landscape ornaments, using mason jar lids as frames! Time permitting, we will finish three different designs during this four-hour class -- a Bethlehem silhouette, a snowman, and Christmas trees.
We will cover basic needle-felting techniques, work on shading and realistic shadows, and learn how to mount and frame these wool gems. The finished projects will be great for Christmas decorating or gift giving. Come with a friend for a memorable crafting day out in a beautiful setting!
Bring fabric scissors if you have them. Ages 12+. Minors aged 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Jennifer Costa
Jennifer Costa, owner of The Woolen Palette, is a homeschooling mom and professional musician. She is a 19-year Charlotte resident originally from the New Orleans area. A lifelong crafter, she began needle felting in 2020 and offers workshops and sells her needle-felted art online and in a gallery in the NC mountains. Equally passionate about teaching and crafting, she is excited to share her skills and ideas.
Class registrations are non-refundable, except in the event that Hart Square cancels the class.
