Would you like to develop your woodworking skills? Building an Eastern Bluebird House is a great way to delve into the art, design, and techniques of woodworking. These simple birdhouses are still key to the conservation of Eastern Bluebirds, who rely heavily on nest boxes.
Whatever your skill level, we will have fun creating this wonderful addition to your yard, garden or wilderness area. In this class, you will learn the basics of woodworking: how to properly measure and cut wood, drill different types of holes, and assemble a final product with nails. Students will take home their completed birdhouse, information on the care and use of birdhouses, as well as plans so they can try their hand at building at home.
Bring a hammer, eye protection, and ear protection.
Ages 12+, Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
