About the Artists

The band “Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues” is the most recent installment in the legendary Mac Arnold's prolific career as a blues artist, featuring members who have worked alongside Quincy Jones, B.B. King, Eddie Kirkland, and Hubert Sumlin.
Mac Arnold himself has honed his craft as a blues bassist and slide player since the beginning, starting in a high school band that included James Brown, and has since worked alongside countless influential blues, funk, and soul musicians like John Lee Hooker, Bill Withers, Otis Spann, A.C. Reed and several others. Born and raised in South Carolina, Mac Arnold has decided to return from his lengthy adventure playing in bands across America and has partnered with other Carolina musicians to bring a tour across the two states.
\Plate Full O’ Blues includes Austin Brashier on guitar and vocals, Max Hightower on harmonica and vocals, Rick Latham on drums, Mark Bumgarner on bass, and of course Mac Arnold on gas can slide and vocals. Arnold’s career has garnered him several awards including being inducted into both the South Carolina Entertainment and Alabama Blues Hall of Fame.
