Everyone wishes to leave a legacy, and that is exactly what Dr. Bob Hart did.

Dr. Hart’s insatiable drive to gather and preserve history saved North Carolina’s heritage.  Through Hart Square Village, a legacy of “doing,” “sharing,” and “helping” was created.  Dr. Hart almost single-handedly saved over 100 historic log structures from decay, but now it takes a village to preserve and share this special place.

When you make a financial contribution today, you are not only preserving the nation’s largest log cabin museum, you are also preserving traditional arts, crafts, and trades.  You are educating the next generation of pioneers…preserving the Catawba Valley pottery tradition…saving 200 to 300-year-old historical structures from decay.  We truly cannot do it without you!

Together, we form the village that sustains the future of Hart Square Village.
