Take your next step in learning to make bobbin lace through this intermediate level class! It is the perfect follow-up to our Beginner Bobbin Lace class. In this class, you will make a bookmark using a more complex pricking (pattern) than your first project. You will also learn how to convert the bookmark pattern to a continuous pricking for making lace yardage.
Please bring your kit from the beginner class, which includes the lace making pillow, pre-wound bobbins, and pins. You will receive additional pre-wound bobbins in the class, so you will have the number needed to complete the new pricking.
About Your Instructor
Sheila Antell
I am a textile enthusiast with a love of teaching. My passion is bobbin lace and living history events, and I've been combining the two since 2005. I actively participate in living history events at Hart Square and The McDowell House/Historic Burke and give Historic presentations for local schools. The study of lace, its history, and the various styles of lace has been a long-time endeavor. I am currently studying Ipswich lace, which is an American lace popular during the Revolutionary War.
