The logs on the front right side are very badly decayed from powder post beetles and rot; they need to be replaced, which is a total of six logs in all. All the moving on that front corner will cause some of the connections around the forge to open, and it will need to be reattached and the daubing reapplied. We will have to build a temporary wall to hold the roof, and the door will have to come down and be reattached.
- Replace rotten logs on the front corner of the chimney side, 6 logs in total, with either reclaimed logs or new logs using trees from the site.
